Its been a week since the payment deadline for the first round. Whats up with the second round? The email I got said I'd hear something this week. This week has come and gone. So what's going on?

Remember when You and I volunteered for TiTs to help get the info out. I only received one follow-up discussing bringing you and I in, and considering us on the TiTs team. This was well after it was in the public eye of us both being recorded as volunteering at the W/P weekend for the TiTs team.
Did you ever hear more. I mean, I wrote back right away afterwards saying I was still more than willing to jump right in and help.
But, to be ignored...
Anyway, since I'm going to Transformus, I personally backed up my volunteerism, and got with Snakechaser to "lamplight".
They complain about volunteers, and lack there of but ignore those out raising their hands. I'm not to tolerant of arrogance so hopefully my efforts will be appreciated lighting the city with others.

Tue, May 20, 2008 - 12:52 AMIn a warped and weird sense, they finally spoke a lil' on the Transforma mailing list. Between the mumble and the jumble, they say they've tried their best and were not able to reach SO many after exhausted attempts. That "they" see most of the people in the pot for round two getting approved. Wow, what a BOLD statement.
Supposedly, last night the BOD was having a discussion, and verbage should be echoing from the mountain tops shortly.
I'm not holding my breath! I've seen the patterns, and negligence.
Best wishes on a positive outcome Lars, and so many people that are patiently waiting. I oh so want to meet "YOU"!

Tue, May 20, 2008 - 5:53 AMI can tell from the deadline push-back that they couldn't reach a lot of people. This is probably based on the false assumption they ARE people. Nobody wants to accept that many of those invites are just fakes unclaimed because the people who made them already got approved under another name.
There are a lot of other factors. People who signed up because someone told them to and it was cool, who then never bothered to check back. People who have decided they are not going in protest of this or that. So many reasons. Lots of people probably signed up just in case they were going to go, but didn't know for sure yet if they could make it, etc.
I'm less upset about if I'm going or not at this point than I am about the mess they've created. So many people upset, and for what?
The website hasn't been updated in a while, but it says 807 gate codes are out. That means if they didn't fill more since then (which they probably did) there is a theoretical max of 543 tickets (1350 - 807 = 543). Thats not everyone who was rejected, but then again, the rejected pool probably shrank too, because some people didn't re-submit their info, we have no idea how big the actual pool is. The board does, and if they're saying everyone might get in, it may very well be true. Its plausible it shrank to 500 or less.
It ain't over till its over. We'll see. You could cut the absurdism with a knife if it turns out they're delaying the second round for yet another week to try to contact more people because if they were to run the second round now they'd get LESS than 1350.

Wed, May 21, 2008 - 7:39 AMI wish I had answers for all you guys. I wish I had tickets to give to those of you who are on here, trying your hardest, and being enthusiastic about it all (positive or negative.) The enthusiasm from every angle is needed to find the answers to so many questions.
I can say, personally, I have spent the past 4 hrs. on lists, tribe, emails, and what not trying to absorb as much as I can, learn as much as I can, get the volunteers I need, etc. and still have much to do. I'm sorry that someone did not respond to you in the time that you would have liked, but I hope you are not discouraged. There are always reasons, and there are always other teams if you feel that is the best decision for you. Being a new Team Lead in all this is majorly overwhelming. I will encourage anyone that would still like to volunteer, not to give up. Some days for instance, I spend more time on Tribe, some days, more on Emails, and some days, I'm pet sitting at other houses and don't always have computer access (we have real jobs too.) So, I have nothing to do with TITS but, hope to be a liason for those in between and a beacon to light the way but I can also guarantee that I am not 100% effective in my responses and timing.
So, without further indo...
I STILL DESPERATELY NEED PARKING VOLUNTEERS! If anyone would like to volunteer for more than one team or would like to try a hand at parking, please email parking@transformus.com. Raeosun and I (newly formed Parking Team) will welcome any and all help we can get.
I will be working on specific shifts to be posted (hopefully tonight) but for now, I can tell you we need volunteers in 4 hr. shifts Friday and Saturday in Satellite Parking for Parking Vehicles and Thursday we will need help with making sure people know that there vehicles need to be moved to satellite parking by Thurs. PM
Any Volunteers?
