As most of you are now aware, we have had some fairly widespread issues with our website, and specifically with our invite/ticket page. We need all your help to facilitate the repair of this system. We have the data of who was approved at this stage, and who is still pending. We also have PayPal receipts and data for those who have already paid for their invites. What we are needing is your contact information and other numbers to help us proceed.
If you have paid already you should have just gotten an email from us with your new gate codes. Any old gate codes you had are NO LONGER VALID.
If you have not paid OR were not accepted in the first round please go to www.transformus.com/invites/ and click on the link to register - filling out this form will give us the information we need to match you to your original request.
Please provide on this form:
Your full name and snail mail address
Your email address that the request was made from and to which you want e-invite codes returned to.
the names for participants 1 and 2 (if applicable) as you entered them on the website request form, be it first name only, nickname, or playa name.
IMPORTANT DATES:
April 30th: Last day to send us your contact information if you have not paid or were not approved.
May 5th: Last day to pay for invites.
May 6th: Emails will be sent out for the second round of invites to those who applied on the former website.
Again, we have your names and some of this information, Your providing us with all this info will verify you are who you say, that you are on our list, and fill in any info we may be missing, especially contact info. If you never checked the website before it all went away, do not worry, it may just take a little longer to get in touch with you.

I'm a bit confused.

Why? They already have it. They emailed the people who paid already! Why cant they email the people who haven't, or the people who weren't approved? I don't get it. Why do I have to send them the same information twice? Why do I have to make a new account? Did they loose the username and password from the old site? And why should you have to re-register in one place if you weren't approved, but in another place if you were? What do you do if you have no idea if you were approved or not?

The people who already paid don't have to provide this info? But everyone else does? Why is that? It proves you dont need this info.
Its a little late to verify that people are who they say they are, since the lottery already happened and any cheaters already benefited. Plus, saying who you are doesnt prove you are who you say you are, it just proves what you SAY. Has everyone lost their mind? Saying who you are doesn't prove anything more than saying who you are does (they're the same thing). How simple does it get?
And isn't the email we already provided acceptable "contact info"? What if I don't have a phone, or I prefer my privacy stay intact and people not know where I live? What if some of us are of no fixed address? Are they really contacting us by snail mail or phone? It says they're sending us an email, so why are they asking for this information?

Ok, seems simple enough. Former website... got it... but this contradicts the website which says:
"The second round will only consist of the number of invites that were NOT paid for by the first round of people. We will go down our list of original requests that have re-sent us their email continuing in the random order that was originally applied."
So its not for those who applied on the former website, its for those who applied on the former website AND the new website? And even though we've determined that not having a +1 will reduce your odds in this "random" order, how is it in any way fair not to allow everyone to add a +1 now?
Also, what happened to the 150 tickets? -

WHAT THE FUCK? They lost the only unique information, and the only VERIFIABLE information? All I need to do is submit the name of someone who was approved with new contact information and I'm in? Holy unsecure-procedure batman!

It has separate links for people who were approved or not, but they go to the same place.
Giving your mailing address is optional. And they're not even asking for a phone number. -

When you log in you dont get your status or gate codes, it simply says you will be emailed soon. So, why log in? Who wasted time writing a page to allow you to log in if it just gives you a canned message?

You will receive an email shortly with your invite status, and if applicable, a link to purchase invites" -

I didn't get tickets in the first round either but im not crying. It takes a total of like 20 seconds to put that info in. You are so negative i dont know why u even want to come to an event like this is beyond me ! -

I think that you are giving me and everyone else on this tribe a frikkin headache. They are doing the best they can with what they have and if you dont agree with what they are doing then DONT GO!!!!! And save us the experience of having such a negative force among us at Deerfields.

I have read everything going on here and in the the digest. Asking questions is great but the questions you ask are negative. They do not help in anyway. I have not got hostile. I was just pointing out you are being so negative. I was not the only one to see it and it does not help with the situation. Your right i dont know you but i read what you say on here and to me it's negative. I never said anything towards you other than that you are negative. Im not here to argue so im gonna end it here!

Try logging back in to the website on May 1st or 2nd... there should be a place to volunteer for teams and also themecamp registration will be open.

That info was obtained in the operation of the business. It wasn't his to take. I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure it belongs to the corp.
That doesn't make it not-gone of course. I really hope they(you?) don't run into problems sorting it all out. I do think that starting over from scratch and doing plain-old-fashioned-ticket-sales would be the best solution. Although nobody really cares about my opinions.
I'll let you know if I become confused again. I do wonder why he left the name fields but not the email ones, but I'll just assume it was an arbitrary decision on his part because I think its likely only he knows why anyway. -

(I wrote what's on there) I'm trying to be clear but it is complicated...
I think you stated it correctly, yes you must create a new account AND have applied the first time.
When you log in that is NOT a canned message... that is a dynamic page and once we match your new request to your old request that status will change with a link to paypal -- after you pay you will see your gate codes there.
This same log in will be used for volunteer sign up and theme camp registration starting early May.
The webteam made a mistake by allowing only ONE person to be the only one with the keys to the kingdom... measures are set up now to prevent that from happening again. Yes it is the LLCs info ... they and I have asked him personally for the invite info and he has chosen not to respond.
A lot of time and custom code has gone into this by myself and jace and especially sam... I hope you can apologize for your earlier comment about the web team showing a lack of technically ability... hopefully now you see why it was not as easy as simply emailing everyone. We have writen a system for the llc to match up and check off names from the orginial list and add in your new contact info. It is very organized and we are doing everything possible to not forget anyone. You can help spread the word - especially to your friends without computers!!!

I retract my statements about lack of technical skill on the web team. I was simply speculating, because I was baffled by the amount of time it was taking to do something that could be done by one person in a fraction of that time.
I understand why it took so long. You knew that life would be so much easier if you got the contact info back, and spent time trying to negotiate with he-who-shall-not-be-named to get the contact info back. Once a month passed and this had not happened you were forced into plan B.
Without admitting such a major problem, and allowing us to speculate publicly that the contact information was still in the database without correcting us, you have to expect people will think you're spending 3 man months writing a script that you or me or jace or especially sam could do in a matter of hours.
And I received my email confirmation that I had been found in the database today:
"Thank You, we have your original request, unfortunetly you were not selected in the first round of invites. Stay tuned for the next round! (you will hear from us on may 6th if you are eligible for the 2nd round)"
Isn't this email in and of itself evidence that I'm eligible for the 2nd round? Do I have to do anything else? Did anyone not eligible for the second round get this email? -

Thanks, I understand the speculation. It took over a week for the webteam to even learn that we were missing contact info! NOTHING was left on the server... the info we do have was info backed up by the invite team into PDFs... we have converted those PDFs back into SQL but as you know are missing info.
Glad you got the email, Yes that means you are eligible for the second round. It does not mean you will for sure get tickets in the second round. We will go down the list of contacts we have waiting for the second round until all 1350 invites are filled. Unfortunately for some (fortunate for you) We will not be able to get everyone's contact back... I'm sure some people that were not approved originally have given up already... so your chances are probably better than before all this shit when down!
However the second round will ONLY be invites that were not paid for in the first round... so if my some strange chance ALL 1350 invites are paid for by April 5th then unfortunately there will be no invites given out in the second round at all.
I'm only speaking from what I know from the web point of view... if you have concerns about this it may be best to email: invites[at]transformus[dot]com or llc[at]transformus[dot]com (emails all of the board of directors) -

I agree. Always good to have less people wanting a piece of the pie. Although like you said, if everyone pays, there will be no pool of tickets. I think people who just gave up or weren't paying enough attention to re-submit their info will likely be greater in number than people who simply don't pay. When you think about it, they're really the same thing. Why would you sign up again if you have no intention of paying? Anyway... The number of people who don't pay will be more than before, thats fairly certain. Since people who wouldn't pay before aren't going to start now, and its highly unlikely EVERYONE resubmitted their info.
I thought any of the 150 unused "reserved" tickets would go back into the pool (this was officially stated). I guess this means that they were ALL used? 1350 != 1500.
Time will tell how many are available and how many are competing for them. Things are definitely different though! That we do know.
Thats a nice job pulling the info out of PDF documents and populating the database. I would guess his intention (at least partially) was to force you to start over from scratch putting everyone back on an equal playing field. You guys did what he thought you couldn't do. Yay for doing the impossible!

I paid for two tickets. Pretty much right after receiving the "invite" to do so.
I'm likely to dispute it on my card if I don't hear back very soon since it appears that the payment has gone up in smoke.

Tue, April 22, 2008 - 9:30 AMThey need to match your name with the name on your request. They have no idea what your email address is (thats what they're asking us for basically). If you gave them the same name you used on your original invite request they should be able to match you up.
I suspect they're sending these emails out as they match each name up with the original request. I seriously doubt they're done with this or that they're sending them all out in one big batch. You might get an email today or tomorrow, who knows. Email the ticket people if you want to find out for sure whats going on. -

So, tonight, I finally got to pay for 2 invites. Awesome. Now I can start planning in earnest! -

Which confuses me, since I thought we had to resubmit contact information because they lost the original information, so what are they matching to...I'm just glad I printed out everything that said I had two tickets ready and waiting! -

Fri, April 25, 2008 - 2:15 PMThe invite team "backed up" some of the invite information into Adobe PDF documents. They contain your name, and if you were approved or not. They do not contain your contact information or email address.
The web team extracted the text from these PDF documents and made a new database with the information. Of course, this database is lacking a critical field, your email address. So when you submitted your information, they are checking the name you submitted against this newly created database, and if the name matches they add your email address and send you an email. At that point, if you were approved originally, you can log into the website and pay with paypal there.
I know you were approved, but I dont know if you paid. If you already paid, you should have gotten an email with new gate codes already, and you should NOT re-submit your contact info on the website. Thats what the invite page on the site says. I'm just reiterating.
I got this information on what they're matching against and how from Jace who is on the web team and actually did that work of salvaging the info.

I got the email from the Web Peeps saying I was approved for my 2 invites and to go to the website log in and there would be a link. Well when the email was first sent and I headed on over to the website to check to see if the link was there It was. Now today when I want to pay then Link is gone and this message appears on the page:
Welcome back, Kelly !
Your order is currently pending. You will receive an email when your order has been processed.
I have not submitted a payment or anything!
And now can't cause the link is no longer there!
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!! -

That is really weird. Like, uber-weird. I cant even guess as to why it says that. As long as you make them aware of the problem I'm sure they'll sort it out though.
Nothing personal Kelly, you're awesome and you have a right to be confused and pissed off... but...
That said, I think its very ironic that the people who are pissed off now are the ones who were approved, and not the other way around like it was a month ago. :) -

If I hadn't even been approved I wouldn't be cryin over it or bitchin about it, I'm just afraid that I won't get to pay for my invites by the time May 5th rolls around which only a few days away, and end up not being able to attend.
I have sent email to the Invite Handling folks and JACE personally and still haven't received a reply.
Yes I know there are several people out there with numerous questions/frustrations and it may take a lil time. But what if I don't hear nothing by the time May 5th rolls around (Payment Deadline) and Im shit outta luck!
