Travelers and Magicians,
I recently moved to Durham from the San Francisco Bay area, and I want to get involved with the local Burner/Transformus community. Anyone in the Triangle area interested in a low-key meet and greet? It would be a great chance to connect with new friends (such as myself) and/or reconnect with old ones. Not sure yet about location or date, but, if people are interested, I will coordinate a plan.
And, if events such as this are already occurring, then, please, by all means, let me know!
Peace and Love,
clock

Re: Research Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) Meet and Greet?
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 10:38 AMHi There Clock! Welcome to the Triangle.
We do Meet-n-Greet's at my place sometimes. I need to do a little maintenance before I can host another one though. My landlord recently had some contruction done out back and left a huge mess. More than I can handle on my own. I just need to make a big fire and burn it all (now that the burn ban is finally over!) Maybe I could get some folks to come help me and we can have a small fire and then get back on a monthly play schedule.
We also have a regular weekly hoop jam. It's on Wednesday nights at Pullen Park. Drummers, hoopers, dancers, poi spinners. No fire but still very fun. Check out the RaleighHoops tribe for more on that! tribes.tribe.net/raleighhoops -

Re: Research Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) Meet and Greet?
Sat, April 26, 2008 - 9:32 AMYes, I will volunteer to help with the clean up. I know that volunteering is its own reward, but, the fact that we get to burn it all sure sweetens the deal.
And thanks for the welcomes, everyone. I sure do appreciate them.
