Thu, April 17, 2008 - 4:31 PMI'd like to thank the man on the megaphone declaring a megaphone free zone, the jellyfish who don't pay rent, the jellyfish who do dance (Eli), the hippies swimming in the ond, the ond plank, the Chupacabra Policia (I even called my mom, but I'm out of falafels), Dixie (whatever she, or he, is), and everyone for the creativity they bring.
Thank you all for being...you all. It takes all sorts to make a world, especially one like this. Thanks Danielle for keeping it real!

Re: friendly thread
Thu, April 17, 2008 - 4:35 PMMy first Transformus, when I barely knew anything about burner culture, I had packed food lightly and basically eaten fruit and muffins all weekend. On Sunday, I was dying for a Coke. I went around asking if anyone had one, but no one did. Someone came up with a Pepsi, but as a good Atlanta girl, this was a distant second choice. As I resigned myself to drinking the Pepsi, someone came running across the field with a Coke for me. Word had traveled and this person that I had not even spoken to had come running to provide for my desire. I don't know who that person was, but they really drove home the concept of gifting for me, how it's little things that matter, and how awesome it is to be a part of community that gives and gives. :-)

Re: friendly thread
Thu, April 17, 2008 - 6:08 PMShit, so many awesome people! Stuart for carpooling up with me, he was super awesome to talk to and hang out with and saved my ass when I was super sick on Sunday and wasn't able to stay awake at the wheel. Gizmo for being awesome and bringing me a tent, then helping me set it up and take it down. Bubba John for teaching me to spit fire, that was super duper fun even though I was burping lamp oil for a few hours. Southern Libertine for understanding my lame references to pop culture (Catalog, Couture, Commercial) and allowing me to confide my undying love for The Cheat. Sue for pointing me to Stina who I'm hoping to help at the boobtique. And especially little tiny Aurora! I don't know who's kid she is, but she was a delight and completely charmed me! -
-
Re: friendly thread
Fri, April 18, 2008 - 5:50 AMI know Stina has a wonderful little girl. Is her name Aurora? Me and Asia, who lives in the Tfus Yurt community, were watching Stina spin at the WP weekend. Asia was telling me how Stina was a great mother and how you could see the love between her and her daughter (and it's true). Anyway, might be the same girl.
That's another happy memory...all the awesome people at WP this year! Thanks y'all! -
-
Re: friendly thread
Fri, April 18, 2008 - 6:33 AMAurora, I think, is the younger one. Stina's is in the bunny head, the picture I posted.
I'd like to think Jen's School of Tarpetry, for keeping my ass dry.
LBK for the gin.
Tess for her kick-ass hat and mad shashay, shante skills.
The Lake for showing me how it feels to have my heart stopped.
Danielle and her ominous talking stick! I think it should be a permanent fixture!
Yankee Joe for being such a fun, good sport!
JP for all the sexual innuendo, helping the work fly by - and Cherry and the other girl we wandered through the woods with, looking for The End Of The Trail.
BubbaJohn for the tequila...among other things.
All the fire people, for their talents and sharing them with me.
Good lord the list could go on!
And most of all, my savior, bun baby Jesus, for his sacrifice unto us.
No, wait, MOST OF ALL I have to thank Unga, for loving Siryn, who talked to a shy girl on a hill once upon a time, that all resulted in me finding someplace to call home. Had I not missed Transformus last year (and gone to Lammas, and met Unga, and found my way to Alchemy, etc.) I might not be here now.
This post is dedicated to all the frogs on Dead Toad Road, who gave their lives so that bacon may once again be consumed. -

Fri, April 18, 2008 - 8:17 AMI would like to thank mysteria for teaching me how to hula hoop. Even as a child, I could not master this seemingly simple activity. Apparently, I needed to go to Transformus first. -

Re: friendly thread
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 1:43 PMFirst I want to thank Wordplay for coming up with the name Transformus. That is the best, most poetic, most descriptive name for a burn, ever.
Next I would like to thank +h30ry for naming Wordplay after he came up with the name Transformus! And also for creating this tribe that I so enjoy. Thanks also for helping me diffuse that situation in the woods. You definitely had on your Andy Griffith hat for that. Also, thank you for the PlayMotion art screen that was so beautiful from across the pond.
I want to thank Mustang for his great photo booth. That was one of my favorite experiences at Transformus last year. I sure hope he'll come back this year, and not just because I want to play in the photo booth.
Thanks Danielle for starting this great thread, for being who you are, for being the cutest clown ever and for wearing the big jellyfish head!
Thanks Scott for making the cool photo badges! Sorry I never came back to get mine. For some reason, I couldn't find you again. I think I stepped through a space/time portal or something.

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 9:33 PMThank You to Bruce for making the very first Bamboozler, a genuine incredible crafty and clever work of art, pure from the Heart. It was absolute primitivism and strength. Its ignition ignited a community (drink!)
Thank you to Milk for sitting on the edge of the stage and singing Janis Joplin accapella with me, pure bliss.
Thank you to Caroleeena for so so so much, for transforming my dark burn of 2006 into the heaven of 2007.
Thank you to Salamanda, Two Sons, Bianca and their crew for the quiet solace of Yin Moon.
Thank you so so so much to MelMac for the yoga practice that changed my yoga forever, bringing it from my head into my heart.
Thank you to Jeremy for the 0 cents lemonade, AND the Buckminster Fuller Treehouse. The memory of that lemonade still makes my mouth water and brings a smile to my face.
Thank you to Erik and Luba for listening to me and encouraging me way back in 2003, and to making their studio a home for Mysterians all year round for 4 years running, and for forging the heart of the Bamboozler
.
IMMENSE thanks to CD and the entire Palette Bar crew for 1) being the heart of the city from the start, and 2) for fulfilling a life time dream of mine of being a bartender!!!
Finally, thank you so much Danielle, for this thread, for your and Maya's and the whole crazy community(drink!)'s resurrection of the Bamboozler (Dixie!) after a rough 2006, building her like a Brick House. 2007. Best. Burn. Ever.
Namaskar,
+heory

The Porn and the grilled cheese. Or if you can't do both, maybe just the grilled cheese. The Porn, not so much. Getting to the age when asked if wanting the super sex, saying just the soup, please. -
